Mach-II Screencast - Introduction to Mach-II events Part Two

Happy Friday!  I'm writing this post to point out that we have a new screencast available for you.  This brief video continues to discuss events in Mach-II, illustrates the syntax for announcing events programmatically, and touches briefly on the event queue.

I also wanted to point out that I will be at CFinNC this weekend, so if you want to talk Mach-II or anything else, please do say hello!  Since it'll be tough to find each other if you don't know what I look like, here I am.  Enjoy the screencast!

This is a fantastic introduction to events... something I wish I had when I started using the Mach-II framework myself!

Brian, I really liked what you did with this video. Thanks for taking the time to create it. I am looking forward to other videos that will be added to the collection in the future.

Thanks for the kind words, Adrian! I sure hope the MachStart series proves useful for newcomers to the framework.

We've started a collection of the screencasts on the Wiki so if you come across anyone who needs a quick start, definitely point them in that direction :)

Great job Brian! I love being able to hear about this stuff without me being the one that is explaining it.

I had an idea when you talk about the three request lifecycle points -- it would be cool to overlay the three bullets on the screen as you go over them.

Nice idea Peter. It would definitely be a nice touch!

I think I'll do that because for some reason the quality came out poorly on this one so I'm thinking I'll need to re-render this baby anyway.

Cheers,

Brian
